Young film star Emilio Estevez, his real life father Martin Sheen, and Oscar nominee Jane Alexander star in this explosive tale about a rebellious teen shattered by an adult worlds vision of justice. With his father and his mother unable to make ends meet, life is tense for Danny Caldwell. After a fight with is father he gets drunk and ends up in a collision with a police car. When his father insists he spend the night in jail as a means of punishment, it is the begginnning of the brutalization of a normal teenager, suddenly entangled in a bureaucratic prison system. Legal technicalities, an unsympathetic judge and Danny's own violent temper keep him locked up in jail for weeks. Only an act of desperation speaks loud enough for Danny to be heard.
