Ordering Related Questions
• Do I have to register to make an order?
Answer
Ordering from Rezarected is very much like any other DVD business on the internet (like Amazon, Play.com etc..) where an account is needed to place an order. Creating an account takes less than 60 seconds and the information required is very limited. Once registered making future orders will be as simple as just logging in and procedding with the checkout process. On top of this you will be able to view all orders you made before, access your own wish list of DVD's you would eventually want to buy as well as Blood Points (My loyalty points scheme!). As if those benefits were not enough I at times will send out special Discount promo codes to you - accessbile for Rezarected members only! You can have your account removed / deleted at any time by email request.
• How long have you been in business? Any other info about you?
Answer
Rezarected has been up on the net since 2006, although I have been dealing in obscure movies since 2001 under various operations. I wont be mentioning what operations they were as they are now competition (as since previously sold due to many many life problems at that time). You can read more information about me (if you really really need to!) by clicking About Us at the top of the page.
• How do I order from you? Wheres the Order form?
Answer
Order forms? Order forms are so 90's! This is 21st Century baby! Full online automated ordering now on this site! To place an order, simply browse the movies via the Browse DVD's by Category links to the left of the page, adding DVD's to your basket as you go. You will see a running total of how much you are spending in the "Your Movie Basket" section located at the top right of every page. Once you have finished browsing, click on view basket / Checkout.
• Are these movies in stock all the time or will there be delays for out of stock items?
Answer
Yes, all movies on the site are available for ordering unless there is no price or no "Add to basket" button. If there is no button or price available, it means that title is nolonger available for purchase and is only listed on site for reference. Usually if a movie isnt available anymore I will give an explanation as to why. All Discs are made to order, meaning I dont have a massive stockpile of ready done movies just sitting here gathering dust. Everyone orders different movies so to actually have 5 or more of each movie wouldnt make good sense.
• Do I have to sign anything before you will accept my order like other collector sites do?
Answer
No its ok. When you created an account you were asked to accept the Rezarected terms & conditions. By accepting this confirms you are of age to purchase these movies. Wether you actually read the terms and conditions is entirely up to you. But you are asked to read them to keep you and myself safe.

Shipping Related Questions
• Do you ship internationally?
Answer
Yes I ship to any destination on the planet.
• How much is shipping & Handling?
Answer
Shipping is free of charge on all orders worldwide.
• How will my order be shipped?
Answer
If ordering Discs only (no packaging) -
Single Disc - Shipped in a small hard plastic single disc case in a padded envelope
Multiple Discs (1-10) Each Disc inside a paper sleeve labelled with the title & mailed in a padded envelope
Multiple Discs (10+) Each Disc inside a paper sleeve labelled with the title & mailed custom wrapped.
Full Packaging (includes High Quality clear amaray case & Hi Resolution Laser printed artwork) -
Single Disc - DVD-R Shipped in a single padded envelope
Multiple Discs (2+) DVD-R's wrapped in bubble wrap and wrapped again in parcel paper - all securely taped up.
All Packages will have 2 labels - (a) The address / customs note label (b) the postage label.
• Im worried about Customs. How do you mark customs notes?
Answer
I mark all customs notes as gift, with "Digital media" as the contents to the value of $10.00. To date I have had no problem with any orders not getting through customs.
• When can I expect to recieve my order?
Answer
I ship orders within 3-4 days after payment has been recieved (4 - 5 days over a weekend). From this point on it really does depend on your postal service. Packages usually leave canada within 48 - 72 hours after I mail them. from then on it depends on the plane with your package, how fast your postal office sorts the mail and actually delivers it. The following I give as an approximated guide based on experience :
Within Canada : 1-3 Days
United States : 5-7 Days
United Kingdom : 7-10 Days
Rest of the World : 10 - 14 Days.
In all cases please allow at least 21 days (3 weeks) from recieving a shipping notification email for delivery. if you dont not recieve your order by the time the 3 week period is up then get in touch with me and I'll sort something out.
• What shipping method is used for my order?
Answer
All Orders are shipped via regular airmail and are automatically insured up to $100.00 per package. I do not send any orders by surface mail as I do not expect you to wait weeks on end for your order to arrive!
• Can you provide tracking?
Answer
Unfortunately Canada post (all orders are shipped from Canada) charge an absurd price for tracking. To offer tracking the only option available is using express post. The minimum outside of Canada for a package containing goods is approx $60.00. As you can imagine I doubt you would want to pay the extra!
So in a nutshell, no, no orders are shipped via trackable means, However from experience with other businesses, very few actually get lost in the mail. If your order does get lost I will replace it no problem. If it seems that you are claiming lost orders frequently I reserve the right to nolonger accept further orders from you. (as the possibility of more than 75% of your orders going missing is very slim).

Payment Related Questions
• What payment methods do you accept?
Answer
I currently am able to accept Visa Debit, Visa Credit & Mastercard via Worldpay payment Solutions. Other credit cards may be used via the Alertpay or Paypal Options. Alternative Online payment methods include Alertpay and Paypal.
I also accept cash, cheque, money order , bank transfer and Interac payments. All mail in payments should be made payable in U.S Dollars (unless you live in Canada then Canadian Dollars would be fine). Full Payment information will be given to you soon after clicking the final button in the Checkout process.
• If I send a mail in payment, how will I know you got it?
Answer
Once your payment arrives I will update your order status of which you will recieve an email telling you such. Please dont think Im here to be ripping you off! I certainly wouldnt go to all the trouble of building this website, updating with new DVD-R's and everything else I do - just to rip someone off for $14. It just is not worth it. My reputation and the quality service I offer means alot more to me than a few bucks!
• I made a payment but my order status still says Pending. Why?
Answer
The order status is updated manually by myself on a daily basis. In the morning I check all orders from the previous day and look to see if payment has been made. If it has, the status will be updated. If yours has not been updated, dont worry it will be shortly! Generally the order status is updated throughout the day, so keep an eye on it.

DVD Related Questions
• Do you have artwork covers for your DVD-R's?
Answer
Just under half of the movies available have artwork available. You can tell what movies have artwork and those that done. Movies with artwork will always be displayed on the site with its artwork. No artwork movies will show as a grey plain dvd case. When viewing aditional information about a movie, it will state wether it comes with artwork or not.
I use only the best cases for the movies. So this means you will recieve a High Quality Clear plastic 14mm Spined DVD Case. I dont skim to save costs. Yes there are many sources where you can buy DVD Cases from and at really low prices too., The problem with them is they crack easy, the clear plastic sheet comes away from the box and they just look very dull in general. I use the see through clear plastic cases instead of the white, black or grey cases.
Artwork Design
All my artwork is custom designed by me using poster art, video sleeves or any other source I am able to locate (unlike many other website who use low quality images found on the internet. These are no good for quality artwork!). Where art material really is non-existant I create a custom designed cover for that movie based on imagination. I do not offer movies with "generic" covers. The covers are printed directly from the final image source sized correctly for amaray 14mm spine disc cases. All Prints are High Quaity 300 DPI (Dots per Inch) on Matte Presentation Paper. (I don't use gloss paper as it takes too long to dry!)
Artwork Specifications
All my artwork is sized at 3240 x 2175 pixels @ 300 DPI. general file size for my artwork images is between 3-5 megabytes. Generally, the higher the DPI, the cleaner, crisper the print out (depending on source of images used for the cover). If you visit www.covers.cc. Most of the covers there are at 100-150dpi and between 1500 x 1000 pixels @ less than 1mb. As you can work out from my specs above, the quality differs greatly.
• Do all your movies have english languages? or any Subtitles?
Answer
Most of the titles available from us feature english language audio, however some movies may only ever have been produced and dubbed in another langauge. For example, Giallo movies are usually made for the Italian market and as such ae usually found to have Italian audio. Old Giallos are now being released with optional english language or an English audio dub.
If a title is in a language other than english, it will usually have english subtitles burnt in displayed at the bottom of your screen. After watchin 4-5 subtitled films you will be accustomed to watching the film and reading the subtitles simultaneously. It really does not distract from the movie at all. Audio will usually only be avaiable in stereo. No Dolby Digital. Sorry!
Subtitles
Titles with non-english audio will usually contain english subtitles. It may also work the opposite way, a movie with english audio may have subtitles in that of another language. We will always state what subtitles if any are present on the movie we are offering. All subtitles are Burnt on to the image and are not removable. This is because most of the titles we source are from analogue sources such as video, which do not feature removable subtitles.
Will any subtitles effect viewing?
Not at all, usually subtitles are located at the bottom of the screen and after 10-15 mins you will have bcome accustomed to seeing them which means you will not notice them as you start concentrating on the movie itself.
• Will the Disc have nice printed face or labels or anything?
Answer
The ratio of image width to image height. Common motion-picture ratios are 1.85:1 and 2.35:1. Television screens are usually 1.33:1 (also known as 4:3), which is similar to the Academy standard for films in the '50s. HDTV is 1.78:1, or 16:9. When widescreen movies (films with aspect ratios wider than 1.33:1) are displayed on 1.33:1 televisions, the image must be letterboxed, anamorphically squeezed, or panned-and-scanned to fit the screen.
Fullscreen (4:3)
A term used to describe the shape of the picture a movie is displayed in order for it to fill an analog TV screen. Analog TVs have a 4:3 aspect ratio, while widescreen TVs (and most theatrical films) have an aspect ration of 16:9. When a film is played in fullscreen format for a 4:3 TV, it is almost always adjusted to fit. You may be familiar with the phrase, "This movie has been modified from its original version. It has been formatted to fit your TV." = much of the original picture has been cropped. The 4:3 shape TV is expected to become obsolete over the next decade as TV moves to digital and HDTV formats, which are widescreen-based. DVDs often offer both fullscreen and widescreen formats, however many are already only available in widescreen and anamorphic format, catering to the growing audience of home cinema enthusiasts who have already abandoned fullscreen.
Letterbox (4:3)
Video mastering process whereby a film source with an aspect ration greater than that of the video master is transferred to the video master in such a way that no film image is cut off to the left or the right, requiring the adition of black bars at the top and at the bottom of the image so that it entirely fills the screen - in other words, the technique of shrinking the image just enough so that its entire width appears on screen, with black areas above and below the image.
The advantage of this technique is that the film images are shown as originally intended by the film's creators, not interfering with their shot composition and artistic intentions. The disadvantage is that the entire image must be shrunk, which makes viewing on smaller TVs more difficult.
Widescreen (16:9)
Term used to describe a picture in which the aspect ratio is wider than the NTSC standard of 4:3/1.33:1. Almost all movies made nowadays are shot in some widescreen format. To solve the problem of different aspect ratios, several different techniques can be used. Among them are anamorphic squeezing, letterboxing, and Pan and Scanning.
Anamoprhic Widescreen (16:9)
DVDs can be anamorphically enhanced. This means that the video is stored in a "squeezed" format on the disc. The DVD player will then "unsqueeze" the image before outputting it to your television or projector. The advantage of an anamorphic transfer is an increased resolution and therefore, better picture quality than a standard widescreen transfer. No pixels are wasted in producing the black bars, present above and below a 2.35:1 framed picture.
A non-anamorphic picture displayed on a widescreen television will need to be zoomed up in order to return the picture to its correct aspect ratio.
• Will the Disc have nice printed face or labels or anything?
Answer
To be honest I have been in this business for over 8 years. I have sent orders to places all over the world and feedback has taught me in the past - not to used sticky CD labels as they can heat up whilst in the DVD player thus causing it to peel off and possibly damage your player. However all discs have attractive B&W printed faces.
• Are your movies Uncut?
Answer
All titles I offer unless stated are full uncut versions. But my knowledge is limited and I am only human and do sometimes get it wrong. To Help you along though all titles in the catalogue have their run times stated.
Note that the runtime of a PAL disc will be Different to that of an NTSC disc due to frame rate differences. Usually NTSC runtimes will be 4% longer than PAL discs. For example a PAL Disc showing a runtime of 60 minutes.. if it was encoded to NTSC, would show a runtime of 62 mins 34 seconds.
• What Format are your movies in? Can I play them? What is NTSC or PAL
Answer
Movies are in either NTSC or PAL. The movies description page will always state wether it is NTSC or PAL. The MPEG video on DVD is stored in digital format, but it's formatted for one of two mutually incompatible television systems: NTSC or PAL/SECAM. Therefore, there are two kinds of DVDs: NTSC DVDs and PAL DVDs. Some players only play NTSC discs, others play PAL and NTSC discs. "UK and European DVD players will play NTSC Discs, even it if it doesnt say so in the box!"
All DVD players sold in PAL countries play both kinds of discs. These multi-standard players convert NTSC to PAL . Most NTSC players can't play PAL discs. A very small number of NTSC players (such as Apex and SMC) can convert PAL to NTSC. So, if you have an NTSC only DVD player you will NOT be able to play a PAL disc unless you use a standards converter box.
NTSC (National Television System Committee)
The NTSC is responsible for setting television and video standards in the United States (in Europe and the rest of the world, the dominant television standards are PAL and SECAM). The NTSC standard for television defines a composite video signal with a refresh rate of 60 half-frames (interlaced) per second. Each frame contains 525 lines and can contain 16 million different colors. The NTSC standard is incompatible with most computer video standards, which generally use RGB video signals. However, you can insert special video adapters into your computer that convert NTSC signals into computer video signals and vice versa.
PAL (Phase Alternating Line)
Short for Phase Alternating Line, the dominant television standard in Europe. The United States uses a different standard, NTSC. Whereas NTSC delivers 525 lines of resolution at 60 half-frames per second, PAL delivers 625 lines at 50 half-frames per second. Many video adapters that enable computer monitors to be used as television screens support both NTSC and PAL signals.
• DVD-R Case Packaging.
Answer
I use only the very best high quality official Amaray cases. I dont buy the cheap ones that are offered in Dollar stores or low budget bulk ones. They seem to be flimsy, crack easy and the outer plastic sleeve rips off easily. I use pure quality clear seethrough amaray cases. No expense is spared here. Value for money with quality unmatched!
• Will your discs play on my DVD-R Player?
Answer
None of the DVD-R's available at Rezarected have region codes and all of them are NTSC. This means they are playable worldwide on any player anywhere. The discs will play on both NTSC and PAL DVD players. However despite this, the brand and age of your DVD player does seemingly effect what will and will not play. Higher end, more expensive players from the likes of Sony seem to be fussy about playing DVD-R Discs, where as the low budget players you can buy from $20+ seem to play anything and everything thrown at it..
UK & European PAL Playing Customers: Even though your player will most likely be PAL. All PAL players WILL play NTSC formatted discs with NO problems.. even if it doesnt say so on the box.. This is standard! so have no worrys about them not playing if your have a PAL Player. NTSC (North american) players.. You have no worrys either!
• I want to order movies that are in PAL. I need them in NTSC. Is this Possible?
Answer
Yes, I can now convert PAL encoded discs to NTSC and vice versa. If you need NTSC versions of PAL encoded discs You must let me know when ordering. If you do need PAL to NTSC Conversion, you order will take slightly longer than normal depending on the number of PAL to NTSC transfers that are required.
• Are your Discs DVD or DVD-R? whats the Difference?
Answer
The DVD's offered on this website are recorded on DVD-R (4.7GB) discs. The maximum playtime is dependent on the compression ratio. Some items like cartoons compress very well allowing for many hours on a single disk without a noticeable loss in quality. Many titles are analog to digital conversion. Any apparent limitations are inherent in the original analog source material which is the finest we have been able to locate.
Most of you will already know this by now. but for those that don't here's a brief explanation. DVD-R stands for Digital Versatile/Video Disc, DVD-R stands for DVD-R Recordable. If you're familiar with regular audio/music CDs or regular DVD Video discs, then you will know what a recordable DVD-R looks like. A recordable DVD-R stores up to 2 hours of very good quality DVD-R-Video, including subtitles, chapter breaks, and extra features that can be played by many standalone DVD-R Players and most computer DVD-ROMs. We ask that you check the compatibility of your player before buying. A comprehensive and excellent source for doing so can be found here.
• Do they contain Menu's Chapters, Audio Options & Extras?
Answer
Basically put, some do and some dont. Check the DVD-R's description carefuly for more information. Any Menu, extras information will be listed there.
• Whats the Quality like on your DVD-Rs?
Answer
Every title available on the website has been given a rating between 1-10. I have done this in order to give you a better idea of the quality of the sound and picture before you decide to purchase the disc. 80% of the titles avaiable from Rezracted hit the 7-9 quality range as I do not believe in offering really bad quality transfers. However at times an extremely rare peice may come along which does not hit the 5-6 quality rating, but I will offer to you if it is the only print currently available anywhere.
Of my time in business I have come to realise that the term rare or hard to find - regarding picture quality of such a film, will differ from person to person. All the movie titles are highly watchable regardless of the size of your TV system, however please be aware that such rare titles will not have the same quality as you will find on a latest hollywood blockbuster movie. I am aware that everyones opinion of what is good quality and what is bad differs from person to person and there are many things that can influence the opinon, for example: bad eye sight, differing viewing setup (28" widescreen or 36" widescreen can make a big difference). I have given my honest opinions of all the titles available from here in order that you have an understanding of what you will receive.
